Moments of Clarity

Often, as I drive in my car, I have these moments of clarity, when my thoughts wax poetic, and I think, man, I should write this down. And by the time I get to my computer, the moment is gone. Perhaps, rightly so.

A certain turn of the road. The juxtaposition (that word again) of a close ridge against a valley and distant hillside. Horses grazing in a field. My son gesturing at cows. Forgotten restaurants and quiet towns.

But there are other moments. When the chattering monkey quiets, and I concentrate on NOW. Laying on a blanket with my foster daughter, watching my son play T-ball. The early morning quiet in the house, when everyone else is asleep. The soothing flow of water around me @ the swimming pool, lap after lap.

Looking for photographs here and there. Spying the absurd among the mundane. Catching the eye of a child @ the supermarket. The splash of a stream over rocks.

Well, you get the idea.

Breathe.
Evolve.
Laugh.

Field of Screams

I did something today I had never done before. I played catch with my 6yr old son. Images of Kevin Costner. But especially, images of my Dad.

Baby interruptus.

More later.
